O Jacksonville Jaguars é um time de futebol americano profissional da NFL (National Football League), da AFC (American Football Conference), da Divisão Sul.
Foi fundado oficialmente em 1995, como uma Expansion Team da NFL. Seu dono se chama Shahid Khan, um paquistanês de nascimento, naturalizado americano, bilionário dono de empresa de auto-peças.
É um time baseado em Jacksonville, na Flórida, e seu estádio se chama Jacksonville Municipal Stadium.
Entre 1995 e 2001 o time disputou a antiga AFC Central Division (Divisão Central da AFC), onde teve como adversários Houston Oilers (depois Tennessee Titans), Pittsburgh Steelers, Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens e Cleveland Browns (única Divisão da História da NFL a ter 6 times).
A partir de 2002, com a entrada do Houston Texans na NFL, o time foi relocado para a nascente AFC South Division (Divisão Sul da AFC), onde passou a ter como adversários o próprio Houston Texans, o Indianapolis Colts (relocado da AFC East) e o Tennessee Titans, que continua como seu adversário direto.
Se enquanto membro da AFC Central Division o Jacksonville Jaguars foi o Campeão da Divisão em 1998 e 1999, já na AFC South Division os Jags (apelido do time) seguem sendo o único time a não ter nenhuma conquista dessa divisão.
Em 1996 o time perdeu a Final da AFC para o New England Patriots (por 20x6), e em 1999 o time perdeu novamente a final da Conferência, dessa vez para o rival Tennessee Titans (por 24x21).
Foram os dois anos em que quase o time foi para o Super Bowl (Jacksonville segue sendo um dos 4 únicos times que nunca disputaram a grande final da NFL, ao lado do Houston Texans, do Cleveland Browns e do Detroit Lions).
